Why do quotes vary so much?
Mostly circuit count, and partly what is included. Some quotes do not cover the remedial work or the second visit to retest. Ours is a fixed price for the report itself, and any remedial work is quoted separately so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Is a cheap EICR worth having?
Only if the whole installation was actually tested. A report done in forty minutes has not inspected much. It is your evidence that the property is safe, so it is worth having done properly.
