A rewire means every cable in the house comes out and new cable goes in. Floorboards up, walls chased, ceilings down in places and the power off for long stretches. It is dusty, noisy work that takes over a house for a week or more. That is why we only rewire houses that are unoccupied.
Unoccupied simply means nobody is living there yet. A house you have just bought, one you have inherited, a rental between tenants or a property being done up before anyone moves in. With the house to ourselves we work room to room without stopping and you get a finished, fully certified installation sooner. One fixed price in writing first and the quote is free.

Do you rewire houses while people are living in them?
No. We only rewire unoccupied houses. A rewire means lifting floors, chasing walls and long spells with the power off, which is miserable to live through and slows the whole job down. If your house is occupied we can still help with a new fuse box, extra circuits, fault finding or repairs.
How long does a rewire take?
Usually one to two weeks for a typical three bedroom house, depending on its size and how much making good is needed. You get a clear timescale with the fixed price before we start.
